Additional Tips for Preparing and Delivering Your Session:

Build Your Presentation Materials

As you prepare your materials for SHARE Orlando, consider the following:

  • Does the content complement your spoken presentation?
  • Does the information flow logically?
  • Are you comfortable presenting without relying heavily on notes?

Presentation Template

While use of the SHARE presentation template is not required, speakers are strongly encouraged to use it. The template is designed in a 16:9 format to align with widescreen projectors used in all session rooms. Using the template may reduce preparation time and ensure a consistent experience for attendees.

Trademark and Intellectual Property

SHARE reminds all speakers to properly use trademarks and respect intellectual property. Trademarks should be presented in capital letters and used as adjectives rather than nouns or verbs.

When applicable, include appropriate registered or unregistered trademark symbols and acknowledge ownership. Any use of third-party intellectual property must comply with applicable laws.

Partner Sponsored Presentation Guidelines

To provide attendees with information on non-IBM products and services, SHARE allows partner-sponsored presentations under the following guidelines:

  • All PSP and LNL speakers must follow SHARE’s Canons of Conduct and Policies
  • The required disclosure statement must be read at the beginning of each session
  • Technical content should remain the primary focus, with limited marketing information permitted

Please note: SHARE technical sessions are designed to encourage the exchange of technical knowledge and best practices. Incidental discussion of pricing or industry comparisons does not violate SHARE policy.

Canons of Conduct

All SHARE Orlando speakers are expected to adhere to SHARE’s Canons of Conduct. For full details, review the SHARE Bylaws and Policies document here.
