As part of IBM's z/OS simplification focus, a number of improvements have been delivered to simplify z/OS Problem Determination (PD) tasks. The speakers will focus on the following technical areas:

 

 

• Requirements related to simplification of PD tasks and how these tasks relate to z/OS system programmers
• A quick overview of Predictive Failure Analysis (PFA) -- simplifying identification of 'soft' failures
• Runtime Diagnostics -- analyzing a sick system upon request to identify suspicious system symptoms
• An overview of z/OS Management Facility (z/OSMF) Incident Log's focus on Problem Data Management with a look inside the Incident Log stack.
