IBM has recently introduced a tailored fit pricing model that has two flavors: Consumption based and Capacity based. Regardless of which pricing option you pick, monitoring your application performance is becoming more important than ever. With the R4HA pricing model, we used to push our batch windows to the night shift or weekends, which is not much efficient anymore. The solution that appears the most appropriate in these circumstances is to monitor all your applications for performance and have a system wide tuning goal.
