I’ve been examining MQ SMF data for several years now, and there are still surprises in what we find in there. Everything from ‘oh this is what happens internally’ to ‘what do you mean the field that documented as X means Y?’ to the inevitable ‘why is all the CPU gone?’ So, while there are new tools to examine some of the data, and many thanks to Intellimagic for sharing some things they are seeing, and some new data fields –we still have the eye numbing task of looking thru the data to find out what is going on, what has gone wrong, and why the bills have gone up so much. This session will help with those thankless tasks.-Lyn Elkins-IBM Corporation
