Zowe is proving to be a firm foundation for vendors to build administrative and development experiences for the mainframe. But can you both contribute to open source and sell marketable products? How do you choose when, and what are the mechanisms that allow you to provide free software and yet upsell? This session will take examples from IBM’s VS Code extensions to show how you can create an ecosystem of open source and proprietary Zowe exploiters whose whole is greater than the sum of their parts.
