In the past, SNA traffic enjoyed a high level of physical security over legacy SNA links that insured data transmission confidentiality. As cheaper media types, such as fiber optics, came out the legacy links were too expensive as compared to using Enterprise Extender over IP. However, the newer approach lacks the physical security of the legacy SNA links. This session will go through how to setup a Virtual Private Network (VPN) with the new Policy Based Firewall for Enterprise Extender Connections to secure your data. Tom Cosenza IBM Corporation
