How about a need to put the results of nightly batch into the on-prem cloud so the CFO can have a pretty pdf to check in the morning? The GDKUTIL batch utility, part of base z/OS, can help you make that happen. This session will cover recent enhancements to the DFSMS GDKUTIL utility as well basics of it's usage. Additionally, we’ll take a closer look at IBM z/OS DFSMS Cloud Data Manager (CDM) and how it leverages GDKUTIL to seamlessly move data between disk/tape and cloud object storage at scale. As time permits, we'll cover use cases with a demo!
