The IMS Common Service Layer (CSL) provides improved systems management, ease of operations, and sharing of resources for IMS systems. This presentation discusses the major components of the CSL: the Operations Manager (OM), Resource Manager (RM), Structured Call Interface (SCI), their functions and features, and how they can provide a single system image view for multiple IMSs in an IMSplex. It does also, however, apply to single IMS systems.
