This presentation introduces the concepts of z/VM CPU resource management using the z/VM Resource Manager (VMRM). IBM Cognos Business Intelligence (BI) 10.2 software was deployed and tuned in a virtualized environment on Linux on z Systems. The conducted performance study shows how VMRM can help to guarantee certain CPU resources for an application when running constraint under z/VM.-Mario Held-IBM Corporation
