This session serves as a kickoff for the z/OS System Programming and Hardware
tracks at SHARE DC this week. We will start with a very quick review of what
this SHARE track covers and a list of recommended sessions to attend during the
week. Next, John Shebey will share z/OS reported problems over the last
half-year which should be on your radar. Finally, for the majority of the
session, John Petreshock, z/OS Principal Product Manager for z/OS, will share
what we can expect in the future release(s) of z/OS in the themes of
exploitation of AI on z/OS, Application Modernization and Simplification and
Cyber Resiliency.
