SHARE’s second conference of 2008 welcomed more than two thousand enterprise IT professionals to Silicon Valley - the home of IBM’s major source of computing power - for five days of user-driven education, networking and technical training, August 10-15, 2008. The conference provided a one-stop shop for accessing enterprise technology user-driven success stories, insights and solutions from leading industry vendors, and an inside look at industry developments from IBM developers.
The MVS Program presented over 200 informative sessions, covering a variety of hot zTopics, including the new z10 processors and the latest release of z/OS - 1.10. Many of our presentations are available for your review in the proceedings.
The week offered a General Session presented by Helene Armitage, Vice President Systems Software Development and Lab Based Services, IBM Systems & Technology Group, Development & Manufacturing, and new sessions focused on SHARE's 2008 conference themes – Virtualization and The SOA Journey.
SHARE’s Technology Exchange Expo allowed attendees to network and build relationships with more than 65 leading vendors in order to achieve business results and solve programs, which is a key component to SHARE’s overall mission.
