The Virtualization Project (VIRT) exists to provide a forum for education and the exchange of information related to all aspects of virtualization technology, with an emphasis on server hosting platforms, networking, and storage. Mainframe and non-mainframe related issues are relevant to the project.

Topics and sessions for this project provide both technical and business-related information on subjects including:

  • Server consolidation
  • Security
  • Performance, high availability, and business continuance management in shared environments
  • New virtualization technoloiges and their impact on enterprise IT
