IBM Blockchain on z Systems Immersion

Sponsored by vicom.PNG

Presented by IBM Blockchain subject-matter experts who are also experienced IBM z Systems professionals, this class provides an understanding of Hyperledger Fabric, the open source code that powers IBM Blockchain. The presenters will provide an overview and explanation of key architectural components of Fabric. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to install and configure Fabric on a Linux on z Systems instance and to deploy, run, modify and debug a “smart contract” on a Fabric network. The labs will also cover how to install and configure a front-end Web application, also running on Linux on z Systems, that interacts with the “smart contract.” During this hands-on class, participants will also learn about Fabric Composer, an exciting new Hyperledger project that promises to ease the development of business applications that use Fabric. This class is intended for technical professionals, and while some experience with Linux is helpful, it is not required, nor is prior experience with IBM Blockchain required.
