zDAC - I/O Discovery and Auto Configuration via HCD

This presentation highlights recent features of z/OS and z196 servers that enable I/O discovery and auto-configuration (zDAC) using Hardware Configuration Dialog (HCD) and Hardware Configuration Manager (HCM).  zDAC explores your storage fabric and can configure new and changed devices and control units in your I/O Definition File (IODF) automatically.  An introduction to the new support is given, along with a demo of the function.
