79251: PSP: Software Application Monitoring and Malware Detection for z/OS

This session will introduce the attendee to the Software Application Monitoring and Malware Detection for z/OS (SAMM) from Vanguard Integrity Professionals. SAMM allows customers to easily track changes to critical load modules, Track SYSMODS applied to libraries and systems, allows customers to report on activity across systems, and reports and alerts on changes to Load Libraries that do not match original data from the SMP/E target libraries (this is not a binary comparison). This session will include a live demonstration that includes modifying a loadlib syslmod on one system and it alerting to the fact from another system. IOW, changes made to load libraries are captured even if the change is made on another system. SAMM is a critical component for Compliance Reporting, Security Operations and Systems Programming tool to discover where a critical sysmod is missing or applied.
