659 What Were We Thinking How We Grouped Data Into YAML Configurations
One of the efforts that IBM is working on, is to move from editing configuration
files directly to editing YAML files and using automation to create Parmlib
members. This will not only make the configuration process easier and less error
prone, it removes the user from the underlying file infrastructure. This creates
an opportunity for greater flexibility over time. Rather than create a one to
one mapping of Parmlib members to YAML files, we consolidated the data into a
smaller number of YAML files. This session will detail the thought process
behind the activity and give you the opportunity to provide feedback and
perspective in this.
