33469: PSP: Securely Enabling SYSPLEX-Wide Services for Non-Authorized Users

The best option to provide SYSPLEX wide service on z/OS is to use the SYSPLEX messaging API; however, this is restricted to authorized users only. The SYSPLEX messaging API is the optimal method for providing SYSPLEX-wide services on z/OS, yet its use is restricted to authorized users. This restriction presents a challenge when access needs to be securely extended to non-authorized users. This presentation explores innovative solutions to address this issue. As a practical example, we introduce a new IOF REXX interface, which facilitates SYSPLEX-wide access to JES2 resources for non-authorized users while maintaining security and efficiency.
