You've never toured Boston in anything that comes close to Boston Duck Tours. The fun begins Monday morning as soon as you board your "DUCK", an authentic, renovated World War II amphibious landing vehicle. First, you'll be greeted by one of our legendary tour ConDUCKtors, who'll be narrating your tour. Then, you're off on a journey like you've never had before. You'll cruise by all the places that make Boston the birthplace of freedom and a city of firsts, from the golden-domed State House to Bunker Hill and the Fleet Center, Boston Common and Copley Square to the Big Dig, Government Center to fashionable Newbury Street, Quincy Market to the Prudential Tower, and more. As the best of Boston unfolds before your eyes, your ConDUCKtor will be giving you little known facts and interesting insights about our unique and wonderful city. And, just when you think you've seen it all, your ConDUCKtor will "splash" your DUCK right into the Charles River for a breathtaking view of the Boston and Cambridge skylines - the kind of view you just won't get anywhere else. This Monday morning tour includes the cost of the tour and roundtrip transportation.

Tuesday, August 23, 2005
Time: 10:15 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Cost: $30.00
At the beginning of the 20th century, heiress and philanthropist Isabella Stewart Gardner built a home modeled after a 15th-century Venetian palace. Gardner was a great patroness of famous artists and also acquired European masterpieces. Her palace is now a museum filled with works by Titian, Matisse, Rembrandt, and Raphael. The courtyard is an oasis in any season, filled with beautiful plants and flowers. The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum's preeminent collection contains more than 2,500 paintings, sculptures, tapestries, furniture, manuscripts, rare books, and decorative arts. The spirit of the architecture, the personal character of the arrangements and the artistic display of the enchanting courtyard in full bloom all create an atmosphere that distinguishes the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum as an intimate and culturally-rich treasure. This Tuesday morning tour includes the cost of admission to the museum and roundtrip transportation.
