A Look Back at SHARE's First 50 Years:
SHARE was founded in 1955 as a community of technology professionals that banded together to address the challenges of a rapidly growing but still-infant industry. Members sought guidance from each other and their vendors and, through exchange and collaboration, the organization evolved along with the industry. Half a century later, SHARE is the premier independent, volunteer-run association of enterprise-class IT professionals, representing more than 2,200 of IBM's top enterprise customers and 20,000 individual computing specialists.
